Career Orientation & Job Sampling

Career Orientation is a diagnostic service that enables an individual to make appropriate vocational choices, improve self-esteem, become employment focused and set career and placement goals. Job Sampling is a short period of observations and training of different types of jobs within businesses in their local community.

This service assists the students and their Employment Specialists in determining an appropriate job type/ career path for the student which is consistent with the individual’s interests, skills and abilities.

Students may be referred to this service if supports/training are needed in one of the following areas:

-Career counseling

-Vocational Assessment

-Objective observation of Work Behaviors in Work Setting

-Job Sampling
